Stacking The Cool, Frameworks, and Eben’s Big Package

Here’s an interview I just did with Eben Pagan. In typical fashion, I foiled all attempts to pitch Eben’s new product and instead weasled my way into getting a killer strategy that you can use to increase your market reach by 400%.

You’ll also hear Eben turn the tables on me and by getting a free last minute pre-launch consultation.

This is truly 100% content and well worth listening to. Just click “play” below and you can hear it all:

    Frank,

Right around the 15-minute mark where you were talking about results in advance and giving away your best stuff for free really hit home since it has been one of my biggest concerns. Thanks for talking about it.

Thanks for the interview Frank and Eben. I agree with you that a lot of the good stuff is found within free bonuses etc. Always give away your best stuff first. But by the same token, you still need to make sure your offer is worth the money.

Frank, the Master of Psychology and Eben, the Perfectionist on a call! GREAT!! But the soundquality is just terrible!!! Hardly to understand.
Learn from your friend Ed Dale how to do it and record it on Skype! Phonelines have 8 bit but Skype uses 16 bit. Crystal clear conversation!

And by the way…since I came across you and all the other guys of your Mastermind Group, I am completely broke!

Thanks for the Why, What, How, What If Frameworks thing - I’ve heard that a few times before, but it’s always good to hear a fresh perspective.

I thought you’re “stacking the cool” example was a bit silly though - sorry! (Are you sure you weren’t drinking absinthe?) If someone was selling Honda Accords with Lamborghinis and planes thrown in, I would beg, borrow and steal the money to get in. Because - not because I want the lamborghini or the plane or the Honda Accord, but because I could flip the whole thing into a massive profit in short order. Also, it wouldn’t be profitable for the person making the offer, as they would have to buy in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth or “bonuses” to make a $25k sale.

The point here is that the world in general places a value on the lamborghini and the plane - whether I want them or not. Therefore, I can sell them on. That’s not true with information products. They cost next to nothing to produce, and they only have value to people who experience the problem the product solves.

Personally, I think the bonus concept has been exaggerated. I suppose it depends on what you’re selling, and to whom. But a lot of people these days try to make out that they’re selling bonuses, when the bonuses are actually integral to the functioning of the whole product/solution and so the “bonus” is basically a crock.

Bottoms up - and mine’s a margarita followed by 5 caipirinhas!

    Jane :-)

I jump on the chance to hear you or Eben give away information anytime I have the chance. I listened to the call live, but I did listen to it again. Kinda funny that this time it finally made sense - in giving away your best stuff for free. I think alot of people misunderstood that too….it’s not actually giving the product away for free, but about giving away the BEST part about it away.

Now that I “get it” - I broke down my own “market like the guru” manual into 4 parts….and each part I’m giving away the best nuggets directly from the book. I feel a increase in opt-ins and sales coming!! Thanks Frank.

    Dear Eben-san & Frank-san:
Monday May 25, 2009 at 12:32PM Tokyo Time
Thank you both for your Information Marketing Nuggets.

Seems to me that “Why” is (tilted towards) a right brain experience; the “What” is a left brain experience, the “How” is a left brain experience and “the what if” is a right brain experience.

Ergo, if participants are given a free, short psychological test it would be possible to identify where they are likely to get “hung up” in the internet business creation experience.

My lack of execution in the how stage using a Mac stifles my What if.

    Product Launch Check List
“Stacking The Cool” = tipping the price/value seesaw…. is definitely one of the vital check list steps for product launching.

A different but no less important topic of interest for neophytes is internet bootstrapping given that by definition successful internet business bootstrapping usually takes place in the context of serious budget constraints.

Perhaps we need another category of Guru mentoring to really help us determine what is realistically feasible with different levels of start up money.

What really is the best strategy when you only have less than USD 50 a month to get something up and producing? (excluding your PC monthly running costs)

So say you are spending USD 20 on AWeber that and you’re spending USD 10 on hosting.

Shouldn’t there be an internet marketing bootstrapping plan for the common man that doesn’t involve these MLM schemes?

It does not have to Rich Schfrenesque more like Alex Jeffrey’s approach to planning but with more insight into how to achieve internet break even on a budget.

Yes, I like it: A Play on Aaron Copeland’s A Fanfare fro The Common Man …….

“Internet Marketing for the Common Wo-Man”>>>>>>>>maybe I should grab the URL.

Thanks for the insights gentlemen…….they are very valuable teaching techniques on or off the internet.

    Frank,

Eben’s course is virtually certain of being both worthwhile and highly successful. You and he are masters of providing extraordinarily-valuable content - including that which you make available under the free bar. This audio is itself another most wonderful example of this. Making us privy to such interplay between credible, authoritative and proven purveyors of ‘cool’ and best practices can do nothing less than to increase the credibility, appreciation and trust that you continue to engender thereby. As IMs put your teachings and revelations to work; you, Eben and others like you plant the seeds of a continually increasing volume of higher-quality internet content, experiences and results by which for us all to potentially benefit.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Hello Frank,

I’m frustrated ! I came on your blog all smiling and happy with the intention to load the audio on my iPod. I wanted to enjoy it while in my primary office (my car) this morning. Since I got my hands on the Mass Control 2.0, I have transformed my driving time into learning time, and it’s real good. I arrive at work with my mind full of good ideas to implement right away.

But… today’s interview is a non downloadable flash file, so I can’t enjoy it right now, and I am frustrated… 8-(
Now I have to wait all day till I come back home, and then spend more time on my mac. That’s not fair. Since you offer it free, think of making it downloadable as well.

Anyway, I remain a big fan of the work you share and hope you catch a nice big wave on the beach today. I love surfing too, although I ended up in freezing Quebec…

I had total respect for both you and Eben, until I heard Eben’s stupid opinion about ministry. Although you are right about some false ministries misusing the tithes they receive. Ministers still have a responsibility to thousands of people, human needs, values, and most importantly solutions to people’s problems.
The very world that exists today and you enjoy, is a by product of brave, honest, and courageous people that stood up to tyrants, oppressors, and savages in the past. So when ministers ask for unification and financial support, they are contributing to a much greater cause and value than you can and will ever provide.

    Greetings Frank and Eben,
I just wanted to THANK YOU both for what I consider to be the BEST interview and info-call that I have ever heard in the 5 years I have been listening to webinars, tele-conference calls, tele-seminars, etc.

Why ? Because you actually delivered two of the most important communication “systems”: The FRAMEWORKS” , and “STACKING THE COOL” , ever shared with people to understand themselves and others. The VALUE of both is worth $$$thousands of dollars in the Consulting Field, AND You delivered those to us for FREE!

As an expert in NLP, Superlearning Techniques, and MASTERY OF COMMUNICATIONS, I have never heard a more clearly defined, concise discussion, of what actually goes on in the customer’s head when someone is “trying to sell them” something. To know these two LAWS of Communication : “The 4 Learning Styles” and “Stacking the Cool” and applying them will give your listeners a DIRECT INCREASE of at least 30% to 40% this next year!

If your listeners will simply do the following:
    1. Replay the Tele-Seminar you just gave.
    2. Organize and outline ALL their presentations to others
in the format you gave for them with “The 4 Learning Styles”
    3. AND just “Stack a COOL” offer at the end
Each listener will IMMEDIATELY increase their income 30% to 40% this month, and throughout the entire next year!

If they don’t do these 3 STEPS above RIGHT NOW, they will have missed out on the greatest INCREASE they could give their business and INCOME IMMEDIATELY TODAY, and over the next YEAR!

IN fact, to clearly demonstrate how POWERFUL your Tele-seminar ideas are to INCREASE ANYONE’s INCOME, I would be willing to give the FIRST 10 of your students who listened to the call and actually do the 3 steps above:
A “COMPLIMENTARY VACATION”tm for an 8 Day/7 Night Deluxe Condo Resort Stay
for up to 6 PERSONS, at one of our participating 4 STAR and 5 Star Resorts
    around the World !
The Value of EACH of these “COMPLIMENTARY VACATIONS”tm is $1,500 to $3,000 !
There is NO Timeshare presentation involved, we have been in business for over 20 Years, and have a BBB rating of “A” !
Just go to: http://www.WorldwideDreambuilders.com to view the vacations available.
I am giving away the BEST VACATIONS from my business, just like you, Frank and Eben, gave your best information to all the listeners of your AWESOME tele-seminar!
Of course, ONLY the FIRST 10 of your listeners who actually do the above 3 Steps and report to you, will get a “COMPLIMENTARY VACATION”tm!

And Finally, as a Thank you for refreshing my own understanding of these two great Communication techniques, I would also like to gift you and your own families, each, a “COMPLIMENTARY VACATION”tm!

THANKS for all you do to sincerely help others be Successful and HAPPY !

Do you guys own a Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer? I would like to tell you about the faulty door latch wax motor to help pay you back for the info you gave away during this call.

That was a great call and Eben gave away some pearls of wisdom per usual. He has me wondering if any Tele-Evangelists have affiliate programs. You know they frickin bank on Sunday mornings. Continuity could be nice :)

This is classical Frank Kern and Eben Pagan!

Give Your Customers some of your best “stuff” free.

I love the part where Frank said you could give the whole program away free and many people wouldn’t use it. It is so true that we only value what we pay for. The courses I bought from them have been good and I make my living off the internet. But… You have to apply what they teach. Read it, then put it into action. This Tom from Tom’s Guru Review.
    Have a Great Day!

Two very charismatic pitchmen that know
their audience and how to re-package
    and aggregate old marketing techniques
    in this brave new world.

Chris Anderson of Wired Magazine is
a true visionary - can’t wait to get
his new book in July. It is called FREE.

    Thanks Guys!

Another small piece of the million dollar marketing puzzle fell into place when I listened to this interview. Giving away your most valuable secrets for free truly is an amazing psychological factor when it comes to wowing people which in turn shows up in amazing conversion rates and amazing know, like and trust factors.

Thanks guys, I gotta get to work putting some of this into my own stuff.

The four learning styles training by Eben flipped the switch for me. I’m very one sided in the way that I learn, and I teach the same way. I’ll be applying this to my AR, my sales pages and live trainings starting tonight.

    Thanks guys!

I am constantly blown away by the cool stuff I didn’t know yet. How have I made it this far in life without knowing about the 4 types of learners? Working my way through MassControl. Had a pretty good run with the 4 Day Cash Machine. Thanks, Frank.
PS Hope you got the post-Atlanta IMA thank you gift I sent. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard the stuff you said there, yet, either, but I hadn’t.
