Absinthe, meet phone. Phone, meet rambling weirdo.

Ok - listen to me on this one:

There’s this drink out there called Absinthe. Tastes like fennel and rocket fuel mixed together. Kind of awesome. Anyway, they fail to mention that just a few drinks of it will turn you into a wacko.

It doesn’t make you drunk, really. More like someone comes in, shakes up the world, and then doesn’t put everything back where it originally was.

Anyway - DO NOT *EVER* DRINK THIS STUFF WHEN YOU’RE ON A TELESEMINAR WITH EBEN PAGAN.

…Unless you want to simply not give a damn about selling anything. If you want to have a pretty cool conversation about semi-heavy psychological stuff and really get into Eben’s head, then it’s a good idea.

I present to you: The Absinthe Interview

This is my favorite interview out of all the ones I’ve ever done.

I don’t know if we sold anything and I don’t really give a damn. I learned some good stuff …and you will too.

Oh - click here to check out Eben’s new program. It rules. I got rich by stealing Eben’s ideas.

Now he’s not only giving out all his best stuff, he’s holding your hand and walking you through exactly what to do. In fact, he practically does a lot of the “work” FOR you.

Seriously, check it out. I’ll know if you don’t …because Absinthe also makes you psychic.

Hey Eben … Frank and all you readers n posters above … great update guys reading in this excellent thread … we musta all guessed by now the internet is like a great big information note book and the pages keep turning every day as now the pages are turning easier quicker even before Mass Control Instructional Video format “even if we thought we did not want it too” … with this latest concept better information is available immediately for those folks who dip into this network mix of audio, video information every day trying to solve there current wishes to find the latest greatest secret to wealth and prosperity and usually miss the point of the greatest secret is … ACTION … by taking ACTION on information learned comes to the mindset as knowledge learned so success can turn to WISDOM once that knowledge is implemented with strategies to the desired outcome …

Remembering that old saying by Benjamin Franklin “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different Results” I for one didn’t understand the saying the first time I heard it, so it wasn’t effective on me as it was intended to be. But I expect if my more successful friends keep quoting it, and quoting it, and quoting it, eventually, I might catch on and find the Truth that Lies Deep Within this Wise Saying.

All my best to you and your Strategy vs. Tactics

If that’s true that my attitudes, beliefs and thoughts really affect everything, that means I rule the universe freely!!! We will see all war and strife disappear for good within this lifetime! We create universal bliss! Ever hear of “dragging people down” ? You know what’s better? Dragging people up! Upsweep!

I have an interesting thought. Often I hear that the people one hangs out with has a profound effect on one’s life, and so that it is good to surround oneself with what one desires, ie positive influences. I do agree. My current sales manager often says to us to remove negative influences from our lives, stop hanging out with people who drag us down and etc. However…. If I’m going to see somebody as bad, as having a negative impact and etc, perhaps I need to create perspective adjustments instead. You are saying that if one looks at one’s five closest friends and average them out, they see them self. And so, do my friends make me as much as I make them? I am a part of this average so I can use that average to my advantage. There’s always a way to bring everyone up. If there isn’t then we’re all wasting our time because right now there is all kinds of war and strife in this world and we can either ignore it and say it was based on their mental attitude and had nothing to do with us, or, we can stare ourselves directly in our own mirror reflection, acknowledge our creations and decide to change our reality and really change the world. Your mental attitude is mine, in the sense that I create it, or, at least in that it is an important factor of reality that can be worked with to create something of greatness.

Lol. Hey man, it would be really great if I could get in contact with you and your friends. It’ll be an interesting association. You’d have a lot to offer me and I have something to offer you. Whereabouts do you live? Email me. And thanks for sharing the video and audio clips. I’ve only checked out a few but they’ve all been good.

So Frank, random segue, check out this amazing essay on absinthe written about 100 years ago - it’s pretty cool and I think you’ll dig it in the light of what you say on this page. I enjoyed the call. The two of you are great together. I like the part near the 1:48 mark about doing something for your body first thing in the morning. Most people make excuses about working out that include time, travel, and expense. I study energy methods based on Chinese medicine theory and you literally can get an AWESOME workout in only 5 minutes of breathing and posture. No special outfits, no commute, no memberships, no sweating, etc. It virtually eliminates ALL excuses. (I even do it in the shower or in an elevator one minute at a time). It can be fitted into any schedule. One side effect–I have not had a cold or the flu in over 6 years from using these methods.

Money is fantastic, and clearly the goal of any business, but if you are a bazillionaire and laid up in a hospital bed waiting to die, then how ‘wealthy’ are you really?

Health is PARAMOUNT!!! I’m glad to hear you mention it during the call. Everyone else seems to overlook it.

    Wow Frank
    I’m not sure!

It’s interesting to hear about the man behind Eben Pagan and in “some ways” I have more respect for him now.

But Eben works at the high end of mentoring and it is his detatched professionalism which makes him eligible for those big bucks fees.

For “me” this detached professionalism is what Eben brings to the pool. Disparate from most of the “regular guy” gurus, like your good yourself. So the fact that Eben had a “poor boy makes good” story, and can still be the detached professional is is some ways more inspiring.

But I still wouldn’t give my money to Eben for another reason, which neither of you cover.

I listened to every second and it was both interesting and a very well formed pitch. I have to say that you must have either been having very small glasses of absynthe, or it was particularly weak, as four glasses of 90% alcohol, taken inside the space of 2 hours, would render most humans on this planet, unable to put two thoughts together!

    Frank-

Absinthe is actually NOT illegal in the US. There are rules for how much of the ‘toxic’ stuff (thujone) can be in there, but it’s still legal if it meets those standards.

I don’t know about the czech variety, but for the french absinthe recipe from the 19th century, checkout for more and for retailers. Not affiliated, but probably should be.

It’s extemely high in alcohol content and contains various herbs (which make it green), so be warned and good luck on achieving ‘lucid’ thinking absinthe is reputedly known for.

Thanks to Lex for the covert look at the artist through Aleister Crowley’s eyes. He was one the most controversial and outspoken writers of the occult; also a painter, philosopher, poet and yogi. And of course an advocate for that Green Goddess Absinthe. The 19th C. artists including Van Gogh, Monet, Gauguin; all the impressionists, were imbibing this psychotropic beverage. It was the LSD of the time, only natural. Giving insights and lifting the veil were its forté if one didn’t go absolutely mad first. I lived in Belgium in the 70s and got to taste this most powerful elixir. I was surprised to hear, Frank, that you were drinking it and on your 4th or 5th serving after only a half hour or so. I loved the philosophical bent your conversation took. It was one of the most profound teleseminars I’ve listened to. Reminds me of Jack London’s famous quote:

“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

Bravo Eben and Frank. Thanks for a most unusual meanderings - and yes, Frank, Please list that link to your absinthe source!!

Best frickin’ interview I’ve ever heard!…real and to the point. Can relate completely to observing parents from the depression era who have the “poor mindset,” as well as the “I don’t deserve it mentality.” It is what it is. But it’s amazing that I didn’t realize how much of this mind set I had picked up, affecting life success on multiple levels. Two years ago I made a profound change. Just as you mentioned, I began to seek friends/collegues who think like I do, i.e. high achievers, intellectually minded, and not afraid to go after it (no fear). Amazingly, things have turned around completely. Also enjoyed the discussion on “stop hiding” and be who you really are. I went through this as well…a little frightening at first to put your real self out there but very freeing. Excellent commentary that I intend to listen to again.

    Thanks

P.S. - By the way, differentiator is a word…so you’re good. :) definition: One who, or that which, differentiates. lol

Successful people read the right books and Eben is definitely a reader. We have read a lot of the same books. I particularly related to his life story. Not too many people realize the impact your personal story can have on others. People just enjoy hearing about these things as they usually relate. When I saw him on the first video, I just supposed he was of the elite professional type. I really had no idea who he really was. From nothing to 20 mil a year. Wow!

You can hear his boringness on this call. I realize things should be planned
but without a script in anything Eben is probably a bore in real life. I am
afraid to buy his marketing products because I am afraid he will bore me to death.
It will take him ten hours to give you one hour of good information.
That is how you add filler to your product. One hour of good info taking
ten hours gives you a lot of filler to make your product appear very valuable.

First i apologize for my English,

You mentioned in your presentation Mother Theresa, and her “core” communication with audience, no matter the profession they have, their hearts were touched by M. Theresa’s words.

You said that before 2005 you felt miserably because of your life and business.

I must tell you that i felt the same, and it is not a NLP affirmation, because in one moment i started to think how to make more money, money, money….you know..

When i start the IM business i started with the purpose to help people in my country to achieve what i achieved in my non IM market business, but this presentation is made in IM style. And here you, Ed Dale and Yanik Silver have a big impact.

I use “Underachiever” spirit and method, and using ‘33 days to online profits”
like work frame i tried to help my fellows IM biz and it seems to be a success.

But the first purpose to help transformed in greedy - more money wish who transformed me in an animal looking like a man (still :)

Everything was going good, financially, but something happen in my heart.

Long story short, i went to a priest and he told me to read a book wrote by
Archimandrite Sophrony - We Shall See Him As He Is, 1985. Essex, England: Stravropegic Monastery of St. John the Baptist, 1988.

He was the disciple of St. Silouan:

    http://www.philthompson.net/pages/about/silouan/

THis book changed literally my entire life because i realized that we are connected between us (human beings) and nothing is perchance.

Now, please don’t think I’m a mystic weirdo who try to convince you about something, just want to know your opinion, of course if is possible.

I discovered that we are made by God “in our image, in our likeness”

God is One in three Persons and the humans must be “in our likeness” one in many, many persons.

Person is the opposite to individuum (ego)

Life content for a person are the other persons, compared with ego individuum who is closed in himself(herself).

Here on the EArth we must become persons because we, by ourselves, didn’t have life. We can survive after death only united with Christ.

Christ is a God person but in two essence-Godness and humans and by Him we will survive after death.

Now, Frank, please don’t call the mental hospital please.

I believe that if we follow Jesus life, starting to call him, he will come and in His love we become like him - a human person capable to include in her(his) life all the Universe and the Godness but attention, not by ourselves (pride) but humility-meekness.

When God in His mercy let us know what we really are, first reaction is to hate our ego individuum life, because the God love came like fire on the ice.

First we suffer but is a good suffering because we feel God started to work in our hearts.

When we start to awareness this we will feel our jerk-ness (!) but in the same time awareness that we see that in God’s Light.

And step by step we start to empty our big ego and fill up with love(God love)

With our minds (ego individuum minds) we can only learn and know just a little part of knowledge. Is like we living in a little room and we know all about that room, but suddenly we discover a door and when we open it we find another room.
Of course in that moment we realize that we didn’t know anything about new room.

It’s like we living in labyrinth.

Socrates often said that his wisdom was limited to an awareness of his own ignorance.

But when God came it is like we are in helicopter above this labyrint and we see all the reallity of our thinking.

We can discover this only in God love united with Him.

In this moment the human persons can communicate between them in Holly Spirit energy. Holly Spirit is God person and the content of His life is the beloved persons.

Jesus took ego value pyramid and turn it upside down. Now if somebody wants to be the “boss” he (she) must serve others. Very few can do that because when Holly Spirit take us to meet Jesus we can meet Him down to the top of the pyramid and there is high “temperatures” and high “pressure”. In that moment Holly Spirit show us - me, you, him (every “you” is a “me”) the place where we live now - and this has a name - “Hell”.

But when we awareness that true, our minds cleaning up and the hell state is transformed in a heaven state, but with one condition - to remain with our ego minds in hell. Every time we will forget this condition we come back to hell state which exists only if we want to exist. God let us to choose - He made us free as He Is, and He respect our freedom- love with force is impossible.

Life is not a concept Is A Person
Truth is not a concept Is A Person
The Way is not an abstract concept Is A Person

That Person Is Jesus Christ and when we meet Him we become like Him through Him - a human person who can’t die because he’s(she’s) life content is the other human persons and God Persons. One God, One Human. God in three persons, human in many, many persons.

That’s the reason why, when we meet a person no matter if is human or God we feel peace in our souls.

Now we can talk about personal communication not idividuum(ego) comunication without emapathy.

Our mastermind must be Jesus and the saints. And with their help we can become persons, success persons.

Maybe all i said here didn’t make any sense. Please let me know what is your opinion, of course if you have time.

    Thumbs up

Frank, you and Eben are right on about success coming from the right internal programing. Having the right mindset, a mindset of success is the key to achieving one’s goals. Only when one lets go of their mindset of lacking will they move into abundance and having happiness. To accelerate having your success mindset The Abundance Course (The Release Technique) will help get you there faster than any other single thing.

Then join a mastermind group like Eben’s or one of your own choosing to further accelerate your success.

    Frank and Eben,
Great interview!!! I learned enough from listening to you that it will take me a month, or at least a week to put into practice, before I will need to watch the free videos to learn more.
As one of your other commenters said, we owe it all to the Lord and if we will just listen to what he has to say you will find you are right on track with what he taught us. “As a man thinketh in his mind so is he” “Through Christ ALL things are possible.” “Christ came to give us life and life abundantly”
King Soloman was the richest man who ever lived, because he chose to put others needs first!
People say “give a man a fish and feed him for a day” “teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime”. Sometimes we have to feed him before he is able to learn. You are doing all of that and more.
Many opportunities have stood in my way to stop me from becoming wealthy, but I’ve always know I would. I am wealthy in some ways, but the money isn’t there yet. It is June 2nd, 2009 and I have made three million dollars. I deserve to be successful and I have a responsibility to help others become successful. I give myself permission to be successful and to help others to do the same. I give myself permission to feed those who need feeding before I can help them. As I increase my circle of like minded people I am growing into the person I deserve to be and that God intended me to be.
Thanks again so much for this information!!!!
What can I do to help you?
    from the heart,
    make it a great day,
    imonthewayup,
    juanita

I actually laughed out load twice in that 2 hour commentary - very funny chat with you two at the peak there. Also, Eben, your sincerity in sharing the bits about your heritage were heart-warming. Even more credit to you with the elegance and open-mindedness you exuded in an unorthodox tele-seminar environment … respect! Frank - you’re super chilled ‘dude’ (we SO don’t use that word here in the UK and I smiled every time I heard it!) and I don’t envy you your next-day sore head.

Re Guru Mastermind … I’d join your mastermind in a flash! To travel 4 times per year from London having launched my new info product site: http://www.SuccessfulSingleParenting.com, (which, by the definition of that being my ‘expert area’, means I’m mildy unavailable to leave my single-parented child that frequently), is going put this choice on a 2009 list for me. I hope you re-market the mastermind as colourfully in 12 months time.

I wish you both even greater success on every level,
    Stay amazing,
    Jennifer

WOW!!! Frank Kerns drinks Absinthe. http://www.absinthefever.com/
Why is there so much B.S. about Internet Selling. Get real people.
TV preachers do it all the time, charisma, Psychobabble

    “Charisma”

The word charisma (from the Greek word χάρισμα (kharisma), “gift” or “divine favor,” from kharizesthai, “to favor,” from kharis, “favor”: see also charism, Charis) refers to a rare trait found in certain human personalities usually including extreme charm and a ‘magnetic’ quality of personality and/or appearance along with innate and powerfully sophisticated personal communicability and persuasiveness.

    “Psychobabble”

Psychobabble is a customarily pejorative term to denote technical jargon that is used outside of its intended purpose in psychology. The term implies that the speaker lacks the experience and understanding necessary for proper use of a given psychological term. Frequent usage can associate a clinical word with less meaningful buzzword definitions. Some psychological buzzwords have come into widespread use in business management training, motivational seminars, self-help, and popular psychology. These words can be overused by laypersons in describing life problems as clinical maladies, when such nomenclature is not valuable, meaningful or appropriate.

I expressed this opinion and I didn’t even have to drink Absinthe.

    Hey Frank~

The surfing may be better in your part of the state (unless you’re CRAZY enough to surf Mavericks – you’re not CRAZY, are you?), but you can actually buy absinthe up here in The Great North. Here’s an article about it you might enjoy…

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/12/05/MNQJTO9FM.DTL

Or, you can scroll down here to watch a video…

    http://www.stgeorgespirits.com/

They’re kidding about petting the oompah loompahs on the distillery tour, I think, but who knows when you’re drinking absinthe, eh? I’ll stick to wheatgrass for my green drinks, thankyouverymuch!

I agree: kind of awesome call. Both you and Eben are über SMART and trés COOL, but with such RADICALLY different ways of presenting yourselves. There’s just something about “a pairing of opposites” that always seems to work, you know? Thanks for keeping it fun, and I hope you had a FABU birthday!

    Frank & Eben,

I really like what I have been able to listen to of this call. Problem is, I am recovering from major back surgery, an unwelcome interruption in my journey, and when I listen I keep getting interrupted by meds, visiting nurses et al. Then I cannot go back to where I was without listening to the first part all over again. Could you please make this downloadable so that I can scroll through to pick it up where I left off? Otherwise, I fear I will not get to hear the good stuff at the end before you take it down and that, from the rest of the comments, would surely be a dirty shame!

What I have been able to hear has been great. I live in a trailer at the moment, having downsized as I aged and kids, divorce, second marriage, widowhood and becoming an orphan emptied the nest. Now it is just me, my old dog, and three kitties. Still, I want to earn that million, just to prove to myself that it can be done by a feisty little old lady in quarks (like crocs) who’s loved and used home computers since 1980. I’m an autoresponder payment away from doing my thing online.

I really like the stuff both of you do. If all goes as I have set it out, I will be able to afford one or the other or both of your programs a year from now. That would be fun! I’m EST and psychodrama and bioenergetics group trained so believe with you that we create our existence and our wealth, with the help of God and a little Vicks along the way.

Thank you both for giving so much good stuff to those of us who haven’t yet made enough income to be able to afford your whole enchilada. It means that one of my goals becomes using the free stuff to earn enough to be able to afford the rest of the package! I hope you will each offer your mastermind stuff again, several times, so that the rest of us can tap into it when we are ready and able.

I’m only 66 and the females in my family live to be at least 86. That means I have almost a whole lifetime yet to earn my million or three.

Peace and Love to you and yours —Ellen

I spent years assuming successful people were smarter, luckier, richer, prettier than me until I matured. I innately knew I was more and could be more and have been climbing ever since. It’s so refreshing to hear you guys also came from nothing and didn’t let it stop you. Eben, I’m so glad you told your story because I prejudged you to be one of those middle-eastern rich kids who was American-schooled and used his family money to get into this (could I have been any more wrong?) And, Frank - you are destined to be the “rogue information marketer” with incredible insight. Good job you guys.

Great interview. This was right on the money.

The comments above about filler just don’t get it, or didn’t listen long enough. This isn’t a side topic, this is THE topic. Without understanding this nothing else matters.

Every day for the last 14 months I have written down my top 15 affirmations. In that time I learned what I blog was, started it from scratch, quit my full time job, started my own company and now work for myself running my blog - making more money than I did in my last job. I’m not an Eben or a Frank but the point it is it was all driven from self affirmations, hard work and determination.

    Hi

I really enjoyed the interview. It was the most funny and most eye opener for me. I personally get the best value from this. Most people cant probably get it, and that makes perfect sense for me. Because the secret of success is to give out a value that help other people. I mean thats it. It is that simple, give out stuff that help other people. But it must be your stuff not anybody else. When you start to create value then the universe will like start to giving you all what you need or what you demand.

    Regards

    Miroslav

I know the real reason why people have either poverty or success mindsets. It is not a random glitch in the blueprint. It took me 15 years and 500 books to figure it out and it would blow you away if I told you.

Now what do I do with it ?
