Hey Frank, you only talk about Porter’s focus strategy, are there any other strategies that can work? According to the literature, a low market share and high margins can be just as profitable as a firm with high market share and low margins. My question is, why do you specifically name this strategy? Is your experience that other strategies work less on the Internet?

make your product more valuable and more unique than the competition -> better -> higher perceived value -> can charge more = more profitable
My question for you:
Is your experience that other methods than this one work less on the Internet?

QUERY
what if the product isn’t tangible in the traditional sense. I am not selling the marketing plans because I tend to customize them for the brands/people I work with-
what I am interested is positioning ME and my blog as a go to for 411 about all things that I write about–which typically is fluff.
I am the product– I can’t sell me in the uusual or typical manner. I need my content but it’s nothing special but I want to try new marketing techniques?
so far I haven’t heard anything from anyone about how to position this for a person.. rather than a product.

Great staff. However, since yesterday none of your videos are working. And there are times when I can hear two or three voices talking. I would suggest or rather request you to send the staff in the mail as a mp3 file instead of keeping it live on masscontrol site. I am just going to launch my website soon after a gap of 10 months and I am so exicited. Thanks for all the informations. I have been following your work since the time of stompernets…but never took any positve action (lazy jerk, that I am, for not trusting); besides being broke for a year. EDIT FROM FRANK: They are entirely different approaches and entirely different courses. Mass Control isn’t just about launches. In fact, launching is only a small portion of when the system is about. Hope this helps.

this course is very promising. But there is a HUGE problem:
This will cost $2500-$3000. I cant afford this. Since John Reese priced the Traffic Secrets $997, everybody sell packages at huge price.
But are these packages better? NO! They are just more expensive.
So why don’t you offer Mass Control at a lower price and allow more people to buy it?

I have tried to watch this video a couple of times and just can’t get it to play very far. It s-s-starts g-g-going l-like th-this and I j-j-just c-can’t k-keep listening through the whole thing.
I am on dialup, so video can take some time to download but I was able to listen to your first video all the way through without much trouble (it just kept pausing until more had loaded, then it would start up again). Just wanted to let you know there is a problem.

I received an email from you, clicked on the link for the video, and from several of these comments for the video, mine is like their’s. The Quality of the video is terrible, the audio stops for a few minutes, then starts again with a double audio track from the beginning and from the point it stopped at. This continued for as long as I could take it. I got to the point you were making about “Standing Out” in the Market. Also, I got from your presentation, is the emphasis you continually made about ebooks being under $100.00. What I got from that was, your product has got to be way over $100.00. I am guessing you are not one of the people who believe “You get what you pay for”! I believe putting a BIG price tag on an item, only works with people who Need to walk around with a Designer Label on their clothes, even if the clothes are hideous, that Name and that big price tag makes it beautiful. That concept is very shallow! I still would have liked to hear your entire presentation, I can’t make judgements on what I did get to hear, that would be unfair. to the Future!

Hi Frank,
I was having the same problem as other folks, with the vi ii dd ee oo ch oo ping uu p lii ii ii ke thii is.
I think it has to do with when you’re using the slides, because that’s the only time it happens. When you’re using live screen capture, there’s no issues at all, like in the 90 minute one. Where you broke down your copy. It didn’t hiccup once.. But it makes you sound like you’ve got chronic hiccups during the ones where you use these slides for some reason.
Other than that, loved the content. I agree that it’s shallow, the concept that “more expensive = better”… While it does apply to people that just “must have” the latest and greatest fashion bits, and it seems to work phenomenally well in marketing, I can’t help but think there’s got to be another way to also position as the best, while NOT being the most expensive.
Just a thought. The reason for that thought, is there’s too many broke people in the world, and nearly all of them deserve a shot if they’re going to put in the effort.
I do realize the point of you keeping it minimized however. And that is that if too many begin using this system in the same markets, then the market becomes desensitized to the method(s), and it becomes less effective. A sort of over-saturation.
But another thought occurs… Can human nature really become desensitized to its own nature?
In any case, Great info, I enjoyed it, other than the choppiness. Cool beans Frank, keep it up. Look forward to more. Hopefully you’ll get the technical aspects sorted.

You know, certain IM studs become downright shrill when they’re launching a product. (In fact, I think a buddy of yours with the initials RS should buy your course. He could use a few lessons on toning down the hysteria and keepin’ it real). Not you so far.

Having trouble watching Frank’s video?
Here’s an easy fix:
Click play as normal. If it stutters, hit the pause button once and go make a coffee. Then come back and hit the play button (once only otherwise it will play two versions on top of each other.)
Keep doing this each time it stops or stutters. I watched it all by doing this. Was easily worth the slight hassle, and the 5 coffees I had to take on - that’s mass control on mass caffeine.

Thanks for some amazing content over the last few days - lovin’ it and, more importantly, acting on it!
anyone having trouble watching the vids - try Jonathan’s tips - 2 posts above, if that fails try reloading the page a few times - I’m guessing it could be a bandwidth issue with hundreds of folks hitting the site at the same time.
And to the few of you whinning about the price point of mass control & bitchin’ over filling Franks pockets - you’ve already received $$$$ worth of tips here - try putting some of them in place and maybe you’ll be able to afford the course. It all comes down to what it’s worth to you - forget Franks pockets for now the question you should be asking yourself is “If I invest 2 grand in this product will I be able to recoup & profit from the info and in what time frame can I make this happen?” - trading dimes for dollars as they say!
Sorry to rant, but some people! honestly… Not happy unless you’re physically putting money into their own pocket for them!
OK - climbing off my soapbox now and peacefully returning to contemplating my navel…

I agree with Mark…why do people need to be rude? We are all in this to make some money. I think Frank’s guarantee is essentially the answer to that question…I mean really folks….have you ever seen a guarantee such as the one Frank is offering with this class? I think anyone smart enough to invest in Frank’s class, USING the information he is sharing, would be willing to pay a lot more than what he is asking. Talk about amazing ROI!

No offense Frank, but your videos are a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS to get to play properly. It’s not cause of my connection speed either, because i’ve got cable.
Something is wrong with your flash player or something. It will play the first few minutes up until you start looking at David DeAngelo’s site, and then it starts giving problems. Plus, the player slider won’t move along, although the loading indicator moves perfectly. What’s the deal?
